Professional Career
Hello! I’m Laura, a licensed counselor with a Master of Science in Professional Counseling. I’ve been working in the mental health field for 15 years, with a special focus on couples therapy. My passion lies in helping couples, families, and individuals create meaningful, emotionally fulfilling relationships and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
I don’t believe we need to be "fixed" or "cured" — instead, I see growth as something that occurs when we’re met with acceptance and curiosity. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you and your loved ones can explore your emotions, build self-awareness, and develop the tools to enhance your connections.
I’ve completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am currently working toward certification. EFT is especially effective in helping couples and families strengthen their emotional bonds and create secure, lasting relationships. Additionally, I’m Level 2-trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful approach for healing relational and attachment trauma.
I understand how painful it can be to feel disconnected or misunderstood, and I believe deeply in the ability to reconnect with your strengths and achieve your relationship goals. Whether you’re a couple seeking greater intimacy, a family navigating change, or an individual exploring your inner world, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Personal Life
I grew up in the Kansas City area but spent my early twenties soaking up the sun in Phoenix, Arizona. I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees there before making my way to Tulsa, where I’ve put down roots with my wonderful husband, Justin, and our two kids, Charlotte and Kaleb.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me making a list of books I want to read or starting a home renovation project I have no idea how to finish! Lately, I’ve been learning how to ride horses western style, which has been a fun adventure. I truly cherish evenings and weekends spent with loved ones and friends — playing games, sharing good food, watching movies, or just catching up on life.
I believe life is all about connection, curiosity, and finding joy in the little moments, and I try to bring that same energy into both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
